Tom Holland makes super subtle nod to Zendaya on her birthday

Tom Holland infuriated fans by promoting his beverage brand on Zendaya’s birthday instead of paying tribute to her. However, there was a subtle nod to his new wife hidden in the promotional post.

On Tuesday, September 1 — the same day that Zendaya turned 30 — the Spider-Man star took to Instagram to promote the new partnership between his non-alcoholic beverage brand, Bero Brewing, with LA-based fitness studio chain, Barry’s.

“Head to any Barry’s in the US or UK through 9/6 and try out BERO x Barry’s Shandy Shake, inspired by our Daybreak (lemon-lime) Shandy. It’s double tasty, trust me!”

Some fans took to the comments section to express their disappointment that Holland didn’t acknowledge Zendaya’s birthday, with one pointing out, “It’s your wife birthday bro.”

More enquired, “So you post about your workout but not Zendaya’s birthday?” and “Where’s Zendaya’s birthday post.”

While the 30-year-old — who recently became the third-highest grossing actor of all time — did not wish Zendaya, the post did include a subtle nod to the Euphoria star.

Holland launched his new line of non-alcoholic shandies back in June, revealing that it was for Zendaya.

“Zendaya, bless her, has never been a drinker, so she’s never drank beer. She didn’t love the beers we have on sale,” he told Forbes. “The idea behind the shandies,” added the Odyssey star, “was to create something authentic at the company that Z could enjoy.”

He further revealed that the grapefruit flavour has quickly become Zendaya’s favourite.

In a way, his latest partnership with Barry’s wouldn’t have been possible without Zendaya.

Meanwhile, the actress continued her birthday tradition by posting a childhood photo of herself while thanking fans for their love and support.

“I can’t thank y’all enough for making the last year of my twenties so beautiful, I have so much to be grateful for and so much to look forward to, with love as always… here’s to 30!!!!!” she captioned the photo.

Holland’s mom, Nikki, showed her support by liking the post.
