Katy Perry is sharing intricate details about her and Justin Trudeau romance.
The singer, 41, gets candid about the biggest gift of her life –and that’s not her children.
After her album 143 got a harsh reception, she also went through a very public breakup last year with Orlando Bloom, her partner of 10 years and with whom she shares daughter, Daisy.
Even then, the Teenage Dream singer did not stop showing every night.
“I learned how to step back into my purpose,” she said, “and I got the greatest gift from this tour: I got to meet the love of my life.” That love? Justin Trudeau, 54, the former Canadian prime minister.
She met him while on the road. Now, a year later, Perry is looking back on it all with her concert film, Katy Perry: The Lifetimes Tour—Live From Paris, in theaters and IMAX for a limited time Wednesday, September 2.
“A lot of people said I couldn’t do it and gave me a lot of flak — and I did it. Some people are like, ‘Cringe, cringe, cringe,’ ” she shared. “But I’m living my f---ing life to the fullest!”
The Dark Horse crooner kicked off the tour in April 2025. Months later, reps confirmed her split from Bloom. She was in Australia when the news broke in July.
“It was probably the hardest time. My friends were all hanging out back home. I was crying and just feeling far away,” Perry explained of her lowest point of life.
“But then my angels went to work. They really showed up.” By the end of July, romance rumours started. She and Trudeau were spotted on a dinner date in Montreal, and he was seen at her show two days later with his daughter.
Trudeau shares three children with ex wife Sophie.
“I got to meet Justin on tour, and then things shifted,” she added.
As for music and touring, the singer elucidated she is not rushing new music. She’s focused on the small stuff first.
“[I’m] living my life,” she said, adding “so I can write about my life.”
