Dylan Sprouse calls his childhood career ‘child labour'

Dylan Sprouse opened honestly up about growing up as a child actor in Hollywood.

The actor became famous at a very young age with his twin brother Cole. But looking back, Dylan says working as a child had a big effect on him.

During his Wildmen podcast, Dylan talked about how much work young actors had to do.

“It’s child labor,” Sprouse said. “We just sang and danced. It’s still child labor.”

He made the comment as a joke, but he also shared how those years changed him.

Dylan started working when he was only 8 and continued until he was 17. He said this gave him a “workaholic attitude” that stayed with him as he got older.

He also said his confidence became connected to his work. When he was not working, he could feel like something was missing.

Actor Mark Indelicato, who also worked as a child, said he understood those feelings.

For Dylan, having Cole with him also made things easier. His twin brother knew exactly what it was like to grow up famous and work from such a young age.

The actor is now entering another big stage of his life. Dylan and his wife Barbara Palvin are expecting their first child, a baby girl.
