Radio 1 star Nat O'Leary breaks down after final show

BBC Radio 1 is going through some big changes and another familiar voice has now said goodbye.

Nat O’Leary has left the station after five years on air.

Her final show was an emotional one, as she thanked the listeners who had stayed with her during her time at Radio 1.

Nat shared a photo from the airport and wrote:

“After 5 amazing years at @bbcradio1, I'm leaving.”

She also said: “My dream came true through this 'job' and I'll be eternally grateful for all the memories.”

She, however, later shared more photos and videos from her final day, including moments with Vicky Hawkesworth and producer Luciano Domenico.

Nat’s departure comes after some other familiar presenters were also told they would be leaving Radio 1.

Dean McCullough and Melvin Odoom are among the names who have gone as the station brings in new presenters.

Influencer GK Barry is one of the new faces. She will soon have her own weekday show, while Charley Marlowe will also join the station.

Radio 1 is making changes to a few shows across the week.

For listeners, it means saying goodbye to some voices they have heard for years and getting used to many new ones.
