Stevie Nicks’ brother Christopher dies at 72 as family confirms death

Stevie Nicks' younger brother Christopher Aaron Nicks has passed away at the age of 72.

The Fleetwood Mac frontwoman’s only sibling breathed his last on Friday, September 4.

His daughter Nixi Parkinson Nicks took to her Instagram to confirm the upsetting news and bid farewell to her father, who died over two years after he was diagnosed with cancer.

“Second star to the right, and straight on till morning. i love you, daddy. rest easy. [dove emoji],” she wrote alongside an image of her hand holding her father’s weak hand.

Christopher, 72, shared Nixi with his ex-wife, Lori Perry-Nicks, who previously worked for Stevie as a backup singer.

Additionally, in a since-expired Instagram Stories post, the grieving daughter shared more details about her father’s death.

“It is with a broken heart that I announce the passing of my father, Christopher Aaron Nicks, early this morning, surrounded by family,” she wrote in the post, according to Parade.

“Some of you may know that he has spent the last 2.5 years battling a cancer diagnosis, and to some this may come as a shock,” she continued. “If this is news to you, please know it was because he never wanted people to worry about him that he kept this to himself.”

Nixi added, “I know that he has left his mark on so many people, and this will leave many more than his immediate family with a piece of them missing. I know I speak for my dad when I say that his friends, his lost boys, meant the world to him.”

“Rest easy, Coach. We will see you in Neverland,” she concluded.
