Gomez, 34, has previously been open about wanting children with her husband, Benny Blanco, 38. In March, the couple discussed their hopes of starting a family during an episode of the Jay Shetty podcast, with Gomez making it clear that motherhood is something she looks forward to.

“I don’t know what will happen, obviously, but I love children,” she said. “I love making [children] laugh; they’re just so sweet. So absolutely, when that day comes, I’m so excited for it.”

Blanco has also described Gomez’s natural connection with children, saying she will “immediately go to the kids and has these conversations for hours with the kids.”

The Only Murders in the Building star previously revealed that she cannot carry a child herself because of medical issues that could put both her life and a baby’s at risk.

“I haven’t ever said this...but I unfortunately can’t carry my own children,” she told Vanity Fair in 2024. “I have a lot of medical issues that would put my life and the baby’s in jeopardy. That was something I had to grieve for a while…”
