Taylor Swift's latest album, The Life of a Showgirl, received a polarising response from Swifties - with some loving the Max Martin and Shellback production, while others had trouble connecting with the lyrics.
The 36-year-old pop superstar has not promoted the album extensively, and fans are still waiting on the first live performance of the record.
However, the Opalite hitmaker just won an award for the leading single, The Fate of Ophelia, at the MTV VMAJ.
Swift won in the category of Best Solo Artist Video – International at the Japanese award show.
Swifties flocked to social media to celebrate the milestone, with one writing, "They are teasing the REAL winner in two weeks," referring to the MTV VMAs scheduled for September 27.
Another cheered, "The start of many many wins."
A third chimed in, "THE MUSIC INDUSTRY," while one wrote, "Congratulations Taylorrrr, another awards for you."
