Megan Thee Stallion details 'rough' Klay Thompson split after he 'cheated'

Megan Thee Stallion is finally lifting the lid on her “very rough” breakup with Klay Thompson after accusing him of cheating.

In her new InStyle cover story published on Wednesday, September 9, the Grammy-winning rapper admitted she was “losing herself” in the relationship, constantly feeling “uncomfortable” and “just on edge all the time.”

“I think I just kept trying to make pieces fit that didn’t belong, trying to fit myself into someone else’s life,” she explained. “I was losing myself a little bit. I am now in the space of finding me again.”

Megan, 31, announced her breakup with the NBA star, 36, in April after less than a year of dating, claiming infidelity as the reason behind their split.

“Chearing, had me around your whole family playing house… got ‘cold feet,” she wrote in a heated Instagram Story post at the time. “Holding you down through all your horrible mood swings… now you don’t know if you can be ‘monogamous’???”

Thompson has not addressed the allegations so far.

In her InStyle interview, Megan described the aftermath as feeling like she’s “been put through the washing machine and the dryer with tins, shovels and a cactus.”

The Savage hitmaker emphasised her next relationship must be built on three key values: “Trust, fidelity and respect are nonnegotiable for me in a relationship, and when those values are compromised, there’s no real path forward.”

She also made it clear she will not compromise her identity for a partner. “I cannot be disrespected. I cannot be a person who is not gonna be me. I cannot not go to work. I’m going to be Megan Thee Stallion … You will not disrespect me. And you will be thankful. Period.”
