LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz's daughter Mahnoor Safdar is set to solemnise her nikah today, marking a special family occasion at the Sharif family's Jati Umra residence.

The ceremony will be attended by close relatives and invited family guests, keeping the occasion centred around the family.

Mahnoor's nikah has been arranged with Azan Jabbar, the son of businessman Jabbar Khalid.

The wedding comes only days after Mahnoor completed her graduation in Anthropology from SOAS University of London.

Earlier this month, CM Maryam travelled to the British capital to attend her youngest daughter's graduation ceremony, describing the occasion as a moment of immense pride and happiness for the family.

Speaking to Geo News at the time, the Punjab chief minister said there could be no greater source of pride for parents than seeing their children complete their education, adding that all three of her children had now completed their higher studies.

Mahnoor, the youngest of CM Maryam and Captain Muhammad Safdar's three children, studied at SOAS University between 2023 and 2026.

The family's most recent high-profile wedding celebration was that of Mahnoor's brother, Junaid Safdar, who married Shanzeh Ali Rohale in January.

The multi-day festivities were held at various venues, including the Sharif family's Jati Umra estate.
