‘Practical Magic 2' rules the box office as ‘Spider-Man' makes history

Practical Magic 2 is getting a much better start than many people may have expected.

The new movie is now on track to take the top spot at the box office this weekend.

The return of Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman brought new attention to the story that fans first saw almost 30 years ago.

The movie made $13 million in the US on Friday alone. It is now expected to make around $30 million during its first weekend in cinemas.

That is quite impressive change from the first movie. Practical Magic came out in 1998, but it didnt become big hit at the time.

It made just $13 million during its opening weekend.

Over the years, however, more people started watching the movie at home and on streaming services.

It slowly became a much loved movie, which helped create interest in the new sequel.

Practical Magic 2 is now expected to take the number one spot from Spider Man: Brand New Day, which has spent six weeks at the top.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day, meanwhile, is still doing very well, though.

It could reach $935.27 million in the US this weekend, coming very close to the $936.6 million made by Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
