Jim Curtis reveals new details on romance with Jennifer Aniston

Jim Curtis, Jennifer Aniston's boyfriend of roughly a year and a half, is opening up about the early days of their relationship, describing a connection that developed slowly and organically rather than starting with an immediate spark. 

Speaking to The Times, the 50-year-old hypnotherapist and wellness author explained that the two were introduced by mutual friends before eventually vacationing together in Mallorca in the summer of 2025, an outing that also included Jason Bateman and Amy Schumer.

Curtis said the relationship took time to develop into something romantic, partly due to his own hesitations following the end of his first marriage.

But he described his connection with Aniston, 57, as fundamentally different from past relationships. 

"The drive was more natural, more organic, less needy. In the past I've felt this idea of, 'I need you to be in love with me…' I wasn't searching for love any more," he said. 

"And what do I feel now? I feel real joy, real presence, real calmness, real partnership." 

He noted that the two currently divide their time between Aniston's home in Los Angeles and his own apartment in New York, with meditation and spirituality playing a significant role in how they connect. 

Despite his rising public profile as a result of the relationship, Curtis said he's been deliberate about protecting his privacy, choosing not to engage directly with news coverage of the romance.

The couple didn't confirm their relationship publicly until months after their Mallorca trip, when Aniston shared a black-and-white photo embracing Curtis on his birthday, captioned, "Happy birthday my love. Cherished."
