King Charles said 'welcome back' to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, but his message came with a stern reminder.
In August, Archie and Lilibet's parents dropped a bombshell by confirming their UK comeback. They began a fresh, happy chapter near the royal family, as it's evident in Meghan's latest video on Instagram.
However, their 'extended stay' in the UK will see them as private citizens, King Charles made it clear.
They were not given any perks which the active members of the royal family have.
Prince William's father issued a letter to put several rumours to rest and reminded the world of the Sussexes' Sandringham agreement.
Decoding Charles' strict welcome note for Harry and Meghan, Talk TV's royal correspondent Rupert Bell said, "I think they have just decided that we need to establish the ground rules."
To stop headlines and buzz around Harry and Meghan, the monarch indirectly asked the couple to remember the ground rules.
The royal commentator added, "I think the royal household is saying, 'You’re back now. Just remember what you’ve got to do, which is stick within the ground rules."
