Matty Healy officially pranked his fans with an announcement post on social media, where he has been actively dropping hints about the upcoming The 1975 album.
The 37-year-old indie rockstar took to TikTok and shared a video addressing fans, and told them that he has an announcement to make.
Where some fans were holding their breaths for the potential album announcement, the video switched to the About You singer appearing under a funny filter with a silly audio in the background.
The fans were successfully rage-baited and they shared the video all over social media, laughing and complaining about the singer trolling his fans.
One fan wrote, "Matty, you think this is a joke? Do you know how many prime ministers we have had since the last album, brother I joined uni and left since the last album…but also this is funny highkey. Get in the studio fella."
Another added, "he got me for a second i'm so dumb," while someone joked, "nurse he’s out again."
One chimed in, "he thinks everything a damn game," and "omg he’s so annoying (i love him)," wrote another.
This comes after Healy recently released the first demo from the album on social media, and intrigued fans about the rest of the record.
