Kelly Osbourne has shared her disappointment over online trolls who focused on her appearance, overshadowing her late father Ozzy Osbourne's Lifetime Achievement win at the BRITs.
It is pertinent to mention that Kelly attended the BRIT Awards with her mother, Sharon, to accept the posthumous prize on her father's behalf.
Now, Kelly has opened up about the body shaming comments she faced from social media trolls that night, explaining: 'I got assassinated over something that should have been about my dad and his legacy'.
Speaking to Paul C Brunson on his We Need To Talk podcast, Kelly was asked how she felt about the comments made about her appearance and weight loss.
'First of all, I didn't know what I looked like. I couldn't see it,' Kelly pointed out. 'I was so unwell. I couldn't see it. And then I saw those pictures and I was like, "Oh my god." Like, "This is not good."'
'I just couldn't believe like if I had cancer, people would be like, "You look great, bravo. How brave of you,"' she continued. 'But no, what I was suffering from was mental health issues and grief.'
'And I got literally assassinated over something that should have been about my dad and his legacy. And people couldn't see past that.'
It comes after Kelly Osbourne made headlines over speculation that she was dating an OnlyFans model Brad North following her separation from fiance Sid Wilson.
However, Kelly's representative previously told the Mirror: 'Kelly and Brad are not dating. They share a close friendship and their relationship is entirely platonic.'
