Prince William, Queen Camilla's secret obsession exposed by Gary Oldman

Hollywood legend Sir Gary Oldman has revealed an interesting truth about Prince Wiliam and Queen Camila.

The 68-year-old actor revealed that both William and Camilla regularly tune in to watch him play Jackson Lamb, the unkempt, foul-mouthed head of a group of misfit MI5 operatives.

The star disclosed that senior members of the royal family are devoted viewers of the thriller "Slow Horses."

He was made theses claims while speaking on the 'Happy Sad Confused' podcast, expressing amusement at the idea of royals settling down to enjoy the programme at the palace.

The veteran performer went on: "She said: 'Are there any more? I hope it's coming back, isn't it?'"

The Queen has encountered Oldman on several occasions and made her enthusiasm clear. William offered a rather more playful response to Oldman's portrayal of the notoriously dishevelled Lamb.

Gary added: "It was William who said to me, 'every time you come on the screen, I just want to give you a good wash'.

"It's hard to imagine, isn't it? There's sort of one of the Windsors at the palace on their sofa, 'Slow Horses is nearly on'."

Oldman also reflected on receiving his knighthood, which took place at Windsor Castle in September 2025, saying: "I was deeply honoured to have that bestowed upon me, and it's an experience that is just unique and unto itself."

"The whole pomp and circumstance of it is overwhelming," he remarked, describing the recognition of his decades-long career as "a beautiful thing."

The Oscar-winning actor was recognised for his service to drama during the King's Birthday Honours.

The acting legend has starred in the Harry Potter films as Harry's godfather, Sirius Black, and portrayed Gotham City Police lieutenant Jim Gordon in Christopher Nolan’s Batman trilogy.

Sir Gary clinched the Academy Award for Best Actor in 2018 for his depiction of Winston Churchill in Darkest Hour.
