Taylor Swift may be one of the biggest stars on the planet, but Jason Kelce’s daughters apparently needed a little time to get past the whole “Taylor Swift” thing.

When Taylor began dating Travis Kelce, Jason’s daughters—Wyatt, 6, Elliotte, 5, Bennett, 3, and Finnley, 18 months, whom he shares with wife Kylie Kelce—had a habit of calling their famous new aunt by her full name.

“We had to break that habit of your daughters,” Travis said on the September 16 episode of the brothers’ New Heights podcast. “When they got to meet Aunt Tay Tay, they were calling her 'Taylor Swift.’”

Jason remembered just how seriously they took it: “‘Taylor Swift, can I do this? Taylor Swift!’”

To be fair, Jason said, that’s what happens when “somebody gets that famous.” Still, he eventually gave his daughters permission to keep things a little more casual: “You can call her ‘Taylor.'”

Travis found the whole thing “adorable,” but admitted he understands the struggle. Even he had trouble dropping the formalities when he first became friends with Tom Cruise.

“It was definitely ‘Tom Cruise’ for the first two times,” Travis said, “but then him coming to the game and us having a sit-down right here I mean, that’s my guy.”

And speaking of big names, Taylor was back in the Chiefs’ suite on Sept. 14 as Kansas City defeated the Denver Broncos 31-10—her first NFL appearance since marrying Travis at Madison Square Garden on July 3.

Pat McAfee, who watched the game from the star-studded suite, said Taylor was fully invested: “She’s all in,” he revealed on The Pat McAfee Show.

“Watching them experience a game was fantastic.”
