Colin Farrell surprised onlookers with a dramatically new look this week, stepping out in Los Angeles with a freshly shaved head during what appeared to be a casual lunch outing.
No explanation has been offered for the change, leaving open the possibility it's connected to one of his upcoming projects.
Farrell currently has several films in various stages of production, including his return as Oz Cobb in The Batman: Part II, along with Sgt. Rock, Bad Bridgets and Art, with both The Batman: Part II and Sgt. Rock reportedly in active filming according to IMDb.
It wouldn't be the first time Farrell has drastically altered his appearance for a role, his transformation into the Penguin for 2022's The Batman required extensive prosthetics and makeup so convincing that even his own co-star, Rupert Penry-Jones, failed to recognise him on set.
Farrell has also shaved his head voluntarily on multiple occasions in the past, including for red carpet appearances in the early 2000s and for his role in 2003's Daredevil.
As of now, Farrell hasn't clarified whether the shaved look is simply a personal style choice or the early sign of another on-screen transformation.
