Angelina Jolie and Salma Hayek have shared more about the close bond they formed while working together on their new movie, Without Blood.
The two stars have known each other for years.
They first worked together in Eternals, but their friendship grew even stronger when Jolie directed Hayek in the new film.
Hayek said their time together was never boring as they could talk about serious things, cry, laugh and even get into loud arguments.
“Sometimes we would start passionately screaming at each other,” Hayek recalled.
“Then I start crying and she hugs me, then we're laughing nonstop,” she continued. “And from the outside, I could see people say, "What's going on?"”
Hayek added that she feels comfortable telling Jolie exactly what she thinks because she knows Jolie understands her.
“I love her mind and I get her,” she said.
Jolie also spoke about their friendship and said they had been through many similar things in life.
“I haven't had that kind of connection in my life,” Jolie said.
Hayek said their friendship also fits the story of Without Blood, which is about how difficult it can be for people to understand and connect with each other.
The movie is about Nina, played by Hayek, as she seeks revenge years after surviving a terrible war.
Without Blood is now playing in cinemas in the United States.
