Sharon Stone has apparently found a very unexpected way to bring Sydney Sweeney’s lingerie business back to Euphoria.
The Basic Instinct star recently spoke with Variety about Sydney’s storyline on the HBO drama, where her character Cassie became a cam girl.
And Sharon couldn’t resist tying that plot point to Sydney’s real-life lingerie venture.
“In Euphoria, I tried to get Sydney Sweeney’s character to stop being a cam girl and to come and work for me on the series I was producing called L.A. Nights,” Sharon explained. “And she agreed to stop being a cam girl — which she didn’t do.”
Whether Sharon was joking remained unclear, but she doubled down with a line that definitely raised eyebrows.
“As you can see from Sydney’s new lingerie line, it didn’t take.”
Sydney launched her lingerie brand, Syrn, earlier this year, but the actress has recently found herself at the center of another conversation surrounding her image.
Her provocative campaign for sports-focused prediction market Novig, where she is an equity partner, sparked backlash online.
Rather than quietly backing away from the campaign, Sydney appeared to lean into the conversation.
She shared additional images from the campaign on her Instagram Stories, along with partially nude sports photos featuring major athletes including Serena Williams, Ronda Rousey, Sue Bird, Megan Rapinoe, Rob Gronkowski and Jason Kelce.
So, was Sharon simply cracking a joke about her former Euphoria co-star — or did that lingerie reference come with a little extra bite?
Either way, Sydney’s Euphoria storyline has officially followed her far beyond the HBO set.
