Cardi B is looking back on a year full of music, headlines and unforgettable moments as her second studio album, Am I the Drama?, officially turns one.

On Saturday, September 19, the American rapper marked the album’s first anniversary with a heartfelt message and a 79-second video montage.

“Happy anniversary to AM I THE DRAMA?” she wrote, admitting that the album “really did live up to its name” because there seemed to be something new happening every day.

Her message quickly turned emotional as she reflected on the people who helped her through the demanding album journey.

“Thank you so much to my team, thank you to my fans,” the 33-year-old artist continued, before giving a particularly touching shoutout to her son, who was with her throughout the album's creation.

She thanked her “little baby boy who was in my tummy the whole way giving me soooo much strength.”

Cardi B, whose real name is Belcalis Marlenis Almánzar, welcomed her fourth child, a baby boy and her first with NFL player Stefon Diggs, in November 2025.

“Should we do it again next year??? [thinking face emoji],” she wrote before concluding.

The accompanying video offered a glimpse into the whirlwind behind the album, taking fans behind the scenes of the era.

The footage included snippets moving through studio sessions, outfit preparations, personal moments and scenes from Cardi's life during the rollout.

The montage ultimately closes with the words “1 YEAR OF THE DRAMA.”

Released on September 19, 2025, Am I the Drama? debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, according to the figures provided for the album, and went on to become a major chapter in Cardi's career.
