Presley Gerber's emotional post resurfaces after his death

Presley Gerber penned down an emotional note before his death, confessing he was 'terrified' about undergoing a controversial treatment to overcome his addiction.

Presley, whose mother is supermodel Cindy Crawford and father is entrepreneur Rande Gerber, had reportedly long struggled with drugs and his mental health.

He died on Sunday, September 20, at a rehab facility.

A representative for the late model’s mother, father, and younger sister, tells PEOPLE, “The family is asking for privacy during this very difficult and painful time."

After his sudden death, Presley's previous post about 'Pre-ibogaine flood dose' has surfaced online and gone viral, with his parents praising him for his courage.

Presley said in a video caption: 'I was absolutely terrified, and I knew I would be again if I ever had to face something like this (helps to not go into the situations you do that get ya there but that’s life sometimes.)

Ms Crawford commented: 'You are a warrior! Walked thru the fire to find yourself! So proud!' while Kaia added: 'That’s my brother I am so damn proud.'

And Rande wrote: 'I’m so proud of you and your courage. Facing what’s hard takes real strength and watching you find your way back to yourself is everything. I love you so much.' 

Soon after the devastating news broke, fans and celebrity friends rushed to pay tribute, including Brooklyn, Beckham 27, Paris Hilton, 45, and Brody Jenner, 43.
