Earl Spencer makes first emotional post as Diana book hits shelves

Earl Spencer expressed his heartfelt emotions as his book, Swan Song: Diana, My Sister, has hit the shelves.

On September 22, the 62-year-old uncle of Harry and William shared an iconic black-and-white photo of his younger self with his beloved sister, Diana.

Spencer did not add a caption to the image, as the photo itself conveys a powerful message. Additionally, he disabled comments on his latest Instagram post.

The photo of little Diana may bring tears to William and Harry's eyes, as they lost their mother at a very young age.

Earlier, in conversation with People, Earl shared that he told William and Harry at the same time about the book.

He revealed, "And I can say that Harry is completely fine about it. He said, I hope there’s nothing embarrassing about him in it. I said, "There isn’t." I think they were actually worried where I was going up to with the book. It pretty much ends in 1997 with Diana’s death, and there’s a tiny postscript by the grave."

Sending a message to his nephews, Earl added, "But I could reassure both of them that they’re, of course, in the book, but really as examples of two little boys who had the most exceptional mother; I’m not in any way compromising their privacy at all."
