Hilary Duff excites 'Lizzie McGuire' fans with new announcement video

Hilary Duff took fans back in time with her latest video, as she recreated an iconic scene from her classic Lizzie McGuire movie.

The 38-year-old pop superstar took to Instagram on Tuesday, September 22 and shared a video of herself dressed up as her infamous character, with the hair and outfit tremendously matching.

The Mature hitmaker also recorded the video at Trevi Fountain, Rome, in accordance with her character who goes to Italy to fulfil her dreams. 

Teasing a surprise, Duff cryptically captioned the post, "any guesses what I wished for …" 

Excited fans flocked to the comments and wrote, "LIZZIE OMG," and "THIS is what dreams are made of."

A third chimed in, "Omg I can’t handle the suspense," and "she's coming back home," wrote another, while a third exclaimed in surprise, "WHAAAAAAAATTTTTT." 

Whereas others were strongly convinced about a reboot, and wrote, "Hey now hey now, Uh Lizzie McGuire the Movie 2!???" and "Lizzie McGuire reboot???"

Someone noted, "IF YOU ARE BRINGING BACK THE LIZZIE REBOOT I SWEARRRRRR, THE HAIR. THE FIT. THE PLACE."
