Dolly Parton's family feud erupts after her death

Dolly Parton’s family drama appears to be getting messier by the day — and now her nephew is reportedly caught in the middle of a dispute over the late superstar’s properties.

A family source told Rob Shutter that Dolly would have been furious over the latest developments, claiming her longtime manager is moving to remove her nephew Bryan Seaver from his role protecting several of her properties.

Seaver, who announced his aunt’s death, was reportedly dismissed along with his security companies from Dolly’s Nashville home, museum, downtown residence and warehouse.

But according to the insider, it’s the family connection that makes the situation particularly painful.

“Dolly would be spitting mad over this,” a family source shared. “Family was everything to her. The idea that someone who worked for Dolly could now be making decisions that push her own family aside would have made her furious.”

The source also claimed Dolly always kept the final say in business matters.

“Dolly was the boss when she was alive, and everybody knew it,” the source noted. 

“Her manager worked for her — not the other way around. Now Dolly is gone, and the family is watching decisions being made that they believe she never would have tolerated.”

And that’s where the dispute gets especially personal.

“This isn’t just about changing security companies,” the insider added. 

“This is Dolly’s family. She believed you protected your own. She would be asking one question right now: Who gave anybody permission to treat my family like this?”

The claims come from an unnamed family source and have not been independently confirmed. For now, Dolly’s legacy is facing a very different kind of spotlight — one involving family, business and who gets to call the shots after her death.
