BTS gives befitting response to iHeartRadio controversy

BTS has subtly reacted to the iHeartRadio controversy and signalled towards what their future course of action would be.

The ongoing drama began when The Woody Show hosts made racist remarks towards the Korean band members, mocked Jungkook's name, and humiliated the band's fans or ARMYs. 

The fans quickly took the matter to social media and urged the platform to issue a public apology to the band, as well as their fans.

Although an apology is yet to arrive, BTS has officially cut ties with the company, and made it clear in their social media posts as they did not tag them and deliberately left space so as to avoid mentioning them.

Noticing the detail, an ARMY wrote, "Okay, I noticed clearly that Bighit and the members saw what happened, so when they dropped the performance, Bangtan made a gap for the iheartRadio mention here and on the Insta story so that the mention doesn't reach them, meaning they officially cut ties."

Although the band might have decided to stay silent and move forward after cutting ties, the fans continue to protest. One wrote on X, "Public apology is not enough! HYBE should file legal charges."

Another echoed, "We have every right to complain. Would it be the same if it were fans of white artists? This isn't the first time this kind of thing happens to BTS even though the majority of the audience is ARMYs."

Meanwhile, one of the fanpages created a document urging the company to apologise for their actions. 

Another fan pointed out, "We demand a PUBLIC APOLOGY from @TheWoodyShow and @iHeartRadio for the derogatory remarks, mocking of BTS members’ names, and disrespectful insults directed at ARMYs. Mocking jk’s name and cultural identity is not 'humor.' It’s disrespect.. Apologize."

Someone chimed in, "You laughed about JK’s name. What a bully. Who laugh about people’s name these days? Do you even know the meaning of his name? How ignorant. Do you know what ARMY means? Of course you don’t. Another ignorant act. This person should not be allowed to ever talk on shows again."

As of yet, iHeartRadio has not responded to the apology requests.
