Bill Nighy's secret marriage comes to light after years

Bill Nighy has surprised fans after sharing a secret about his past that was never talked about before.

The Love Actually star, 76, has revealed that he was once married, even though he spent years saying that he had never tied the knot.

Bill shared the story while talking on his Ill Advised podcast, remembering having a wedding ring when he was married and said he later lost it in the sea.

“When I was married, I had a wedding ring, and I went into the sea and it came off. I had to wear such a big ring to get it over my knuckle that it came off in the sea. I lost the ring.”

The actor, however, did not say who he married or when the marriage happened as he also did not say how long it lasted.

Bill was later in a 27-year relationship with actress Diana Quick. The pair met in 1982 and share a daughter, Mary Nighy, who is also an actress and filmmaker.

Bill and Diana then decided to part their ways back in 2008 but have stayed close and still spend time together as a family.

The actor, moreover, also was linked to Vogue editor Anna Wintour since 2015 as they were seen together many times.

But now, Bill’s new story about his marriage has now left fans wondering about a part of his life which was kept a secret.
