Taylor Swift's ‘The Life of a Showgirl: The Encore' is finally here

Taylor Swift has officially added an encore to her The Life of a Showgirl era.

The pop superstar released The Life of a Showgirl: The Encore on Friday, September 25, giving fans four brand-new songs: Patient Zero, Cleveland!, Pink Clouding and Babylon.

The exciting announcement was accompanied by a four-slide carousel seemingly featuring Swift, 36, in scenes from each of the four music videos.

The expanded edition follows her series of announcements from earlier this week. On September 22, the 14-time Grammy winner sent fans into a frenzy with a news that she will be releasing a new single, Patient Zero, soon.

The following day she announced an expanded edition of her 12th studio album, dubbed The Life of a Showgirl: The Encore.

On September 24, the Cruel Summer chart-topper debuted a clip of the music video, starring Dakota Johnson and Colin Farrell, on CBS Mornings. Notably, the full video is scheduled to premiere during the MTV Video Music Awards on September 27.

However, perhaps the biggest surprise is how many clues fans believe the Eras Tour performer left behind before finally revealing the project.

Here are four Easter eggs that fans say pointed toward Patient Zero, its music video and The Life of a Showgirl: The Encore.

1. “Patient for the Encore” was hiding in the Opalite video

2. Judges holding four zeroes may have been another clue to The Encore version’s four songs.

3. An anagram in her Emmys skit

“Saccharide. Aries. From the vineyard. North or south.”

Fans began examining the words for hidden messages, with some finding an anagram that appeared to spell “ENCORE” when rearranged.

In particular, “North or south” from the Emmy sketch has been interpreted as a possible reference to North or South Dakota, potentially hinting at Johnson.

Meanwhile, fans have connected the word “saccharide,” a term associated with sugar, to Farrell’s character John Sugar from the Apple TV+ series Sugar.

Those connections remain fan theories rather than confirmed clues, but they have added another layer to Swift’s elaborate Easter-egg hunt.
