Taylor Swift dethrones BTS with new 'TLOAS: The Encore' record upon release

Taylor Swift has added another feather to her cap with a new milestone after the release of her The Life of a Showgirl: The Encore.

The 36-year-old pop superstar broke BTS' record for the biggest first day of pre-saves of an album with 574K presaves.

The Korean boyband previously held the record with 565k presaves for their album, ARIRANG, on Spotify. 

The 14-time-Grammy winner released four new songs on the deluxe edition of her album, and fans rushed to celebrate the record on social media.

One BTS fan wrote, "As an army we knew Taylor swift is the only competition, mad respect for her," and another agreed, "This is what i like to see...BTS having worthy competition! Both having amazing achievements and just straight up kicking a--."

A third applauded, "Taylor is back," and "Congratulations queen."

More added, "oh taylord," and another penned, "As an armyswiftie I’m happy that my favs break records each other."
