Prince Harry kisses ground after emotional skydive honouring 102-year-old veteran

Prince Harry has kept his word, taking to the skies above Ontario for a charity skydive alongside fellow veterans in a touching tribute to a remarkable 102-year-old Second World War veteran.

The Duke of Sussex made the jump in honour of Ed Marshall, a former paratrooper who served during the Second World War and previously celebrated his 100th birthday with a fundraising skydive of his own.

After landing in Cookstown, Ontario, Harry was captured kissing the ground that came after the adrenaline-fuelled jump alongside the veterans.

Ed had hoped to take part in the latest skydive himself, but a heart condition meant he was unable to make the leap this time. 

Instead, his grandson Bailey stepped up, joining Harry in the air in honour of his grandfather.

The Duke has also been speaking about his personal connection to Canada, describing the special place the country holds for both him and Meghan Markle.

“I love Canada. My wife lived here for seven years. 

Most people thought that she was Canadian. Canada has a very special place in my heart. So I always come back,” he said.
