Prince William makes emotional call to Charles Spencer after bombshell book

Prince William, who has big plans to address some of the most crucial issues of the reign before he even ascends to the throne, has used his late mother, Princess Diana, for much of his work.

He has made an effort to continue the legacy that the late Princess of Wales had left behind, such as ending homelessness, but William feels that a lot of his work has been undone by his uncle’s recent memoir.

Charles Spencer, the younger brother of Diana, has written an explosive book on the events surrounding the beloved public figure. However, King Charles and some other royals have been caught in the crossfire, owing to some major claims.

The future King is now making a plea to his uncle as he is “struggling” to cope with his old wounds being reopened so unexpectedly.

Spencer claimed that the then-Prince Charles had said that Diana would be “forgotten soon enough” among other things. In an interview, William and Harry’s uncle stated that his nephews won’t be surprised by the claims made in the book.

“William’s heartbroken this is all being dragged up again,” friends of William told New Idea. “He’s begged Uncle Charlie to just let his mum rest in peace. He doesn’t want her turned into another chapter or make family tensions worse.”

“He has spent his whole adult life trying to protect her memory,” they continued. “This has undone a lot of that. He can’t see himself ever trusting his uncle again.”
