Prince William, Kate get key player for future reign and it's not Sophie

A key member is set to play a crucial role in Prince William and Princess Kate's future reign. 

The matriarch of the Middleton family, Carole Middleton, has always played a crucial part in the Prince and Princess of Wales' lives.

From their dating era to marriage, she has done her part incredibly well. Not only that, she stood right beside the Waleses during Catherine's cancer treatment.

Speaking of her, royal expert Ingrid Seward shared on the live recording of HELLO!'s A Right Royal Podcast, "I think she will be in the background, but she will be in the foreground. I think she's a very determined and clever lady. I really have huge admiration for her; I think we all do."

The royal author believes that Carole will come forward when she is needed by the future King and Queen.

Showering praise on Carole for being a support system for the Waleses, Ingrid added, "And that's really what she's done since Catherine married William, isn't it? She's been in the background and come forward, for instance, when Catherine was ill, and she took over.

"She took over helping with the children and the school and the cooking and making food for William and looking after him, too. I think she's a very strong and determined person."
