2026 MTV VMAs reveal huge lineup with Madonna and Taylor Swift

The 2026 MTV Video Music Awards are bringing together some of the biggest names in music for a night full of special moments.
The show takes place on Sunday, September 27, with Snoop Dogg hosting the ceremony.
It will air live on CBS and MTV, while fans can also watch it on Paramount+ Premium.
One of the biggest moments of the night will come from Madonna. The singer will open the show and return to the VMAs stage for the first time in 23 years.
Many other stars will also perform, including Lisa, Raye, Shaboozey, Gunna, Sienna Spiro, Gener8ion and Yung Lean.
The ceremony will also remember two music legends. Raye, Sombr and Teddy Swims will honour George Michael, while Kacey Musgraves will perform a tribute to Dolly Parton.
Taylor Swift will have her own big moment during the show. She will become the first person to receive the MTV VMA Artist Director Honors.
She will also show her new music video for Patient Zero, starring Dakota Johnson and Colin Farrell.
Madonna leads the nominations with 11. Swift has nine, while Ariana Grande and Sabrina Carpenter each have seven.
Nirvana will also receive the Video Vanguard Award, adding another special moment to the music filled night.
