Taylor Swift, Charli XCX and more stars light up the 2026 VMAs

The 2026 MTV Video Music Awards gave fans many reasons to talk about, from big wins to some very bold fashion choices.

The awards took place on Sunday, September 27, at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles.

Snoop Dogg hosted the big night which brought some biggest names in music and entertainment together.

Taylor Swift had a huge night at the VMAs as she won Video of the Year for The Fate of Ophelia and also received the first Artist Director Honors.

Her win also made her the most awarded artist in VMA history.

Madonna, however, had an equally big night. She took home seven awards, including Artist of the Year and Best Album for Confessions II.

She also returned to the VMA stage after 23 years. Madonna opened the show with Sabrina Carpenter and Charli XCX.

Away from the awards, the red carpet also had some big fashion moments.

Charli XCX looked stunning in a sheer crop top and skirt. The British singer showed off the daring outfit as she arrived at the event.

Lisa Rinna also caught attention in a floor length white dress with a sheer panel.

Dakota Johnson went for a very different look. The actress wore a nude dress covered in sequins and looked glamorous as she posed for photos.

With so many stars bringing their best looks, the VMAs red carpet gave fans plenty to talk about.
