Earl Spencer breaks silence on Prince Harry 'involvement' in Diana book

Prince Harry was not involved in Earl Spencer's bombshell book, which sent shockwaves through Buckingham Palace.

In a recent interview with Gayle King on CBS Mornings, Princess Diana's brother clarified the growing belief among people that his nephew Harry was involved in writing Swan Song: Diana, My Sister.

There are reports that Prince William is 'furious' as he believes Harry and Meghan played their part in portraying the royal family in a negative light one more time.

The rumours grew stronger after the Sussexes' summer stay with Spencer in the UK.

However, Earl Spencer declined such speculations, stating, "I decided not to have anyone involved in the book, so no one knew about it except my wife, obviously, and the publishers. 

"I didn’t tell any of the family until just before it was released publicly as a thing because I didn’t want anyone to think — particularly with Harry, who people know I had to stay in the summer — that he was in any way involved in this. It was really important for me that they weren’t."

Earl Spencer stated he has been in contact with nephews William and Harry since the book's release.

The host asked, "Have you talked to them after the book?" He responded, "Yes, I have."
