Brad Pitt's true feeling about his children estrangement laid bare

Brad Pitt may be enjoying a quieter movie premiere, but the emotional fallout from his split with Angelina Jolie reportedly remains difficult to leave behind.

The actor, 62, attended the Heart of the Beast premiere in Franklin, Tennessee, with girlfriend Ines de Ramon. 

According to Heat magazine, Pitt wanted to celebrate the film “among real people,” away from what the source described as the “constant drama” surrounding his divorce.

“The divorce from Angelina was bad but the alienation from his children was the worst thing that ever happened to him,” the source claimed.

Pitt and Jolie’s separation followed a 2016 incident on a private plane. Jolie later made abuse allegations in court filings; Pitt has consistently denied them. 

Investigations by the FBI and Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services did not result in criminal charges against him.

The couple’s family estrangement has continued to draw attention, with several of their children reportedly dropping Pitt’s surname. 

A source close to the actor told heat that he believes the family needs to move forward, while another alleged the distance from his children remains painful.

Pitt has previously spoken publicly about his struggles with alcohol and his recovery. 

In a 2017 interview with GQ, he said, “I can’t remember a day since I got out of college when I wasn’t boozing, or had a spliff, or something…”

Despite the reported personal strain, a source says Pitt has worked to rebuild his life and is surrounded by supportive friends and family.
