Jennifer Lopez shares a scary new chapter in life after many heartbreaks

Jennifer Lopez has opened up about a big change in her life as her children start a new chapter.

The singer is now an empty nester after her 18 year old twins, Max and Emme, left for college.

While Lopez is happy to see them grow, she admitted that the change has also been hard for her.

“It’s a scary time. It’s a transitional time. It’s a new beginning in a lot of ways for them, certainly, but also for you,” she said.

Lopez also shared what happens when she misses her children.

“When they go away and I'm sitting here being an empty nester—crying, thinking about them, looking at baby pictures of them and all that stuff—these routines are the things that are going to keep me kind of sane,” she said.

She encouraged other parents going through the same change to take care of themselves and enjoy things they may have put aside while raising their children.

Lopez also reminded parents that their lives are changing too.

“You're so excited for them to step into this new era of their life. But we have to remember it's a new era of our lives too.”

Her words quickly touched fans, who shared their own stories and sent her messages of support.

Lopez has also said she is very proud of how hard her children worked to reach this point.
