Will Arnett confirms he's 'very happy' amid new romance

Will Arnett is keeping the details of his new romance close to the chest — but he’s not hiding how happy he is.

During Monday’s episode of SmartLess, guest Seth Meyers watched as co-host Jason Bateman grilled Arnett about his “love life and domestic life.” Arnett quickly realised his friends were looking for gossip.

“It’s going really well,” Arnett said, before warning Bateman and Sean Hayes that he wasn’t falling for their trap.

“I’m very happy, very, very happy,” he added. “Things are going great.”

People magazine reported on September 29 that Arnett is dating Emma Marciano, co-founder of Los Angeles fashion label Mimchik and daughter of Guess founder Maurice Marciano. 

Bateman then pushed things further, asking what Arnett’s relationship might look like in five years. The 56-year-old actor admitted he no longer tries to predict what comes next.

“Can I be honest with you,” Arnett said. “If I f---ing knew what five years... I am now, at 56, I have learned a little bit.”

Arnett explained that he’s spent the past two years focusing on building a stronger foundation for himself rather than trying to control the future.

“I surround myself with great people, I’m in great programs with people, I’ve done some work on myself to try to do it in a way so that whatever does come my way, I handle it hopefully better than I have historically,” he said.

“Prosecution rest,” Bateman joked.

Arnett was previously married to Amy Poehler and shares two sons with her. He also shares a son with ex Alessandra Brown.
