Chad Lowe urges mental health support after daughter Fiona dies at 13

Emmy-winning actor Chad Lowe and his wife Kim Painter are mourning the devastating loss of their 13-year-old daughter, Fiona.

The family confirmed Fiona’s death in a statement shared with People, Page Six and other outlets on Tuesday, September 29, but has not publicly disclosed a cause of death.

“We are deeply heartbroken by the loss of our beloved Fiona,” the family said, describing her as “a loving young girl who was smart, creative and loved to dance.”

“Her passing is devastating for our entire family and we ask for prayers and privacy at this time. If you or someone you know is struggling with mental health, please reach out to the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline by calling or texting 988.”

Fiona’s school also offered support following her death. According to Page Six, her principal notified parents that an unnamed student had died and said counselors were available for students and staff who needed emotional support.

Chad, 58, and Painter, 52, welcomed Fiona on November 16, 2012. She was their middle daughter, with older sister Mabel, 17, and younger sister Nixie, 10.
