Liam Payne, Niall Horan fans revisit their final reunion two years later

“Reunited,” with a red heart emoji. Two years ago, those were Liam Payne’s words as he shared a selfie with Niall Horan at their final reunion before his tragic death.

At that time, Liam travelled to Buenos Aires to watch his former One Direction bandmate perform. Then, it was simply a special night between two longtime friends, but, today those photos have become some of the most bittersweet memories fans have of the pair.

On October 2, 2024, the Teardrops hitmaker attended Niall’s concert at the Movistar Arena during his The Show: Live on Tour.

He documented the evening on Snapchat, sharing photos and videos from the show, including a selfie with Niall captioned “Reunited [red heart emoji].”

Liam also shared a photo of Niall performing onstage, writing, “So happy I got to see Niall in concert.”

The two former bandmates smiled together that night, unaware that their reunion would later become their final public meeting.

Just two weeks later, on October 16, Liam died at the age of 31, after falling from a third floor balcony of a hotel.

Now, exactly two years after that memorable night, fans are sharing Liam’s Snapchat posts and revisiting the photographs of the two One Direction stars together.

What was once simply a happy reunion has become a treasured final glimpse of Liam and Niall together.

And while fans look back at that night, Niall is continuing his own musical journey.

Currently, he is on his Dinner Party: Live on Tour, performing songs from his latest chapter as a solo artist.

After the ending of End of an Era, Niall plays a recording of Liam’s voice to the audience.

In the recording, Liam reflects on his journey with One Direction and the incredible path the band experienced together.
