PM Nawaz chairs PML-N parliamentary party meeting
ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif is chairing a key meeting of the PML-N parliamentary party in Islamabad.

During the meeting, Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan provided a briefing on the operation in Karachi, the security situation of the country and the Taliban’s offer to hold talks with the government.

Finance Minister Ishaq Dar said terrorism had taken its toll on investment and the performance of industries. He added that by the end of the fiscal year, Pakistan’s Forex reserves will reach $16 billion.

PM Nawaz Sharif while addressing the parliamentary party meeting - said that Pakistan is facing serious security threats and the government is fully aware of its responsibilities.

He added that terrorism is not acceptable and that the Protection of Pakistan Ordinance will play a key role in restoring peace.

The Prime Minister further added that talks are possible only with those factions that are ready to accept Pakistan's constitution, as supremacy of law is the first priority.
