Treason trial: Special court defers hearing until Jan 30
ISLAMABAD: The hearing of treason trial against the former president General (retired) Pervez Musharraf was adjourned on Wednesday until tomorrow (Thursday), Geo News reported.

The three-member special court headed by Faisal Arab was hearing the case here today.

During the hearing, Pervez Musharraf’s counsel Anwar Mansoor informed the court that his client’s legal team was busy at the Supreme Court regarding the hearing of a review petition filed by Pervez Musharraf against the SC verdict issued on July 31, 2009 against the November 3, 2007 emergency and, therefore, made a plea that the hearing be deferred enabling him also to attend the SC review petition hearing.

The special court thereby deferred the hearing until tomorrow (Thursday) saying that if no stay order issued by the Supreme Court, the proceeding would resume as usual tomorrow.
