KARACHI: Two militants from banned organisations sentenced to death for the murder of Dr Ali Raza were executed at the Central Jail here on Tuesday.
Dr Ali Raza was killed on sectarian grounds in the Soldier Bazaar area of Karachi in 2001. His murderers Attaullah alias Qasim and Mohammad Azam alias Sharif were awarded the death penalty.
The two met with their families and were given a medical examination prior to the execution. Security had been heightened at and around the Central Jail to avoid any untoward incident.
