KARACHI: An Anti-Terrorist Court (ATC) on Tuesday remanded in police custody two persons linked with the proscribed Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) over charges of demanding extortion and issuing life threats.
The two accused, Muhammad Kashif and Muhammad Irfan, who had been arrested from the remits of Sachal police station were remanded in police custody till March 4.
The Taliban-linked accused face charges of demanding extortion of Rs200,000 from a woman and threatening to kill her son in case she failed to pay the money.
The ATC gave them in police remand till March 4 on a request from the investigating officer.
