64 accused held in raids

KARACHI: Karachi police on Monday claimed to have arrested 64 suspects in 86 raids and recovered weapons narcotics from them in last 24 hours.

According to the Karachi police report a total of 64 criminals were arrested in 86 different raids including five encounters in different areas of the city.

The report said one accused was held in extortion case, 11 under Arms Ordinance, 15 under Narcotics Act and 24 in miscellaneous crime cases.

It said that the 13 absconders were also held during the raids. As per report, police also recovered weapons and narcotics from their possession.
