ISLAMABAD: Beggars have flocked the twin cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad in order to make money by exploiting sentiments of people at different traffic signals.
Reportedly a number of beggars including men, women and children have arrived from other cities, villages and outskirts of the capital city.
Despite media reports pointing to rise in beggary growing number of street beggars are seen in the twin cities which not only creates nuisance for motorists but also poses a security threat, an old citizen Faheem Abbasi told APP.
The police have said that despite the arrest of hundreds of beggars it seemed that their number was rising.
The beggars are still seen wandering in small groups to collect alms at different road signals.
