BD bowl out Afghanistan for 72 in World T20 opener
DHAKA: Bangladesh bowlers dismissed Afghanistan for a mere 72 runs in 17.1 overs in the opening match of the first round in the fifth World Twenty20 Cup here at the Shere Bangla National Stadium on Sunday.

Afghanistan batsmen could not resist against Bangladesh bowlers after captain of the hosts, Mushfiqur Rahim won the toss and decided to field first.

Only three batsmen could get into the double figures as Bangladesh left-arm spinners Shakib Al Hasan and Abdur Razzak grabbed three wickets for just eight runs and two for 20 respectively.

Gulbadin Naib was the top-scorer for Afghanistan with 22 runs from 21 balls with three fours and a six.
