FATULLAH: Pakistan were humiliated by South Africa in their second warm-up match in the World Twenty20 Cup here at the Khan Shaheb Osman Ali Stadium on Wednesday.

Batting first after captain Mohammad Hafeez won the toss, Pakistan were bundled out for a low score of 71 in 17.3 overs.

Only three batsmen – Umar Akmal (17), Sohaib Maqsood (15) and Ahmed Shahzad (12) - could get into the double figures as Kamran Akmal and Umar Gul were got out for nought.

Wayne Parnell, Beuron Hendricks and Lonwabo Tsotsobe claimed two wickets each for just two, three and 15 runs, respectively.

South Africa achieved the easy target in 14 overs after losing their openers Hashim Amla and Quinton de Kock.

Amla was out leg before to Umar Gul for 24 and de Kock was bowled by Shahid Afridi for 15. Both the openers were dismissed at the score of 39.

Later, David Miller (12 not out) and AB de Villiers (20 not out) achieved the target with exact six overs remaining.
