DHAKA: India restricted West Indies to 129 for seven in the Group-2 match of the Super Ten Series in the fifth World Twenty20 here at the Shere Bangla National Stadium on Sunday.
India captain Mahinder Singh Dhoni won the toss and put the West Indies into bat after winning their first match against Pakistan on Friday.
For the West Indies, Chris Gayle and Lendl Simmons were the main scorers with 34 and 27, respectively.
Left-arm spinner Ravindra Jadeja was the most successful bowler who captured three wickets followed by leg-break bowler Amit Mishra taking two wickets.
India made no change in their side while West Indies pulled off a surprise by going for the Jamaica quick Krishmar Santokie ahead of Ravi Rampaul.
