LAHORE: Pakistan’s Federal Minister for Commerce and Textile, Khurram Dastagir announced on Tuesday that an agreement had been reached with India to purchase electricity.
Speaking with reporters here, Dastagir said trade talks with India had been put on hold and would resume following elections in India.
According to Dastagir several issues with India could be resolved by opening trade between the two countries. He added that trade routes would not be closed even if there was an altercation at the border.
