Cathay Pacific introduces Regional Business, Economy Class for Karachi

KARACHI: Cathay Pacific Airways has introduced Regional Business and Economy Class seats for its passengers flying from Karachi to Bangkok and Hong Kong.

The airline has made the new services available from March 30, 2014.

“Pakistan is an important market and Cathay Pacific is committed to providing the best products and services to our customers here,” said the airline’s Country Manager – Pakistan Mr. Feroze Jamall.

He further said: “The new Regional Business and Economy Class cabins will enable our passengers to enjoy a new level of comfort and luxury on board when they travel from Karachi to Bangkok, Hong Kong or other destinations in the Cathay Pacific network."

The new Regional Business Class features include: Specially design seat offering ample space and comfort; Universal power supply outlet to keep electronic devices fully charged; a multi-port connector includes a USB port that can be used to charge devices such as mobile phones and BlackBerry devices, and an iPhone/iPod/iPad connector that allows passengers to connect their own devices and watch video through the personal TV.

Other highlights of the product include the introduction of the StudioCX widescreen on-demand entertainment system, which is a new feature for Cathay Pacific’s regional fleet.

Each seat is equipped with a new and enlarged 12.1 inch, touch screen monitor, which is mounted into the back of the fixed seat, a large meal table that allows passengers ample space to spread out while they work or dine, and an extendable cocktail table.

The Economy Class features are: fixed-back shell seat provides you maximized personal space. The LEAP® Live Back™ upholstered seat, together with smooth reclining and an adjustable headrest, offer enhanced comfort. Relax and enjoy your 9" widescreen personal TV with StudioCX – featuring a rotating library of over 100 movies, over 500 TV shows, 888 music CDs, 22 radio channels and over 70 games – and with 10 languages represented, you’re sure to find something you enjoy.
